Amy and Ollie had an issue with the retaining wall in their garden. It was made of wood and was rotting away, letting the soil slide.
We decided to build a 12m long dry stone retaining wall. No mortar involved, it makes it self draining, no need for any maintenance and way more solid than a wooden one.
We also included stairs into the wall.
What we’ve accomplished:
1.
We had to start by dismantling what was left of the wooden retaining wall.
2.
We prepared a nice and solid footing for the wall to stand on.
3.
We built the wall, using the ancestral technic of dry stone walling, involving only gravity, friction and a few rules in order to create a solid and beautiful wall that will last for generations to come.
